Festival-Duan Wu jie(dumpling rice festival)

hiehie, gud evening....after  weeks of thought, i finally wanted to do a Festival (Dumpling rice Festival). Many people would thought other festival than this festival because it's not so common to think about. But for me i chose it because of less common and i can make it to unique and superb OUT of this festival .

So here's the festival(Dumpling rice festival) of a little  history before u see my E-wallpaper.

Duan Wu Jie is a widely celebrated festival amongst the Chinese, to pay respect to the patriotic poet, Qu Yuan (pronounced as Chue Yuan). The legend involves a really long and complicated throne-fighting war and political history. But to make a long story short: Qu Yuan was an important minister back in Chu Kingdom in ancient China. He had been known for his loyalty for the emperor of Chu, and loved his country greatly. However, His Majesty had not taken Qu Yuan's advice seriously, and he eventually got himself trapped and captured in a foreign land by his enemies, which then lead to his own death.

Sad and angry at the corrupted, dying Kingdom, Qu Yuan tied himself to a big rock and threw himself into the River of Puo Luo. The people then made rice dumplings wrapped in bamboo leaves and threw them into the river. They believed this would stop the fish from eating Qu Yuan's body. Some would even row down stream in a boat, beating drums and shouting out loud in the hope to scare the fish away (it was believed that it is how the Dragon Boat event is related to the festival.

Since then, the 5th day of the 5th month in the Chinese calendar has been set as Duan Wu Festival to remember the incident. Although there were versions of legends and stories that indicate Duan Wu has existed way before Qu Yuan's death, the tradition still carries on.

Process of my E-wallpaper

As you can see, this images is get from this link which i highlighted to set as

So i had copied the images and set as my background as you can see

from the layers

 

Next i take Qu yan as my images that is related to my Festival 

here's the link which i took from.

Later u pull the images into the photoshop, and zoom it as near as possible

to do the croping.

Use '' Pen tool'' to crop it nicely after Zoom as near as possible.

Later use ''Pen Tool'' to crop the outside line till close up. If you don't know 

whether it's close up or not, you can check your History, there should be stated.

After close ups,right click on the subject u crop-ed and choose ''Make Selection''

  After clicked the ''Make Selection'', you will see dotted line over your subject. Later

press  : Ctrl + Shift +i   to invert the background of it because u wanted to delete

the background and leave the subject there.

After invert it, and press delete...you can see the background been deleted and left 

the subject itself.

Later choose image from above and choose '' Flip Canvas Horizontal '' ,

and u will see the effect been flip towards right compared with original.

Later u place Qu yan on the background and play with the Obesity itself to

make it lighter.

Later take the dumpling from the net and it's a PNG file, and applied

effect on it and choose inner glow

Next, you have to select effect, Drop shadow, Inner shadow, Outer glow

The Drop shadow right here is which i selected for my Title festival.

This is my final layer, I am going to put on my E-wallpaper, as you can see i highligted after i put the layer up there, i changed the ''normal'' become ''Multiply'' so that it wouldn't affect my background.

So this is my process on doing my E-wallpaper.
